Details of the SCOTT ADDICT RC 30
HMX Carbon
SCOTT has further developed the already high-quality HMF carbon fiber used in the bike industry. HMX is the fiber used by SCOTT and has over 20% more stiffness than an HMF fiber of the same weight class. This unique material allows SCOTT engineers to develop super light bikes with excellent riding characteristics.
Light weight and stiffness
Through clever layering and reinforcement in certain areas, Scott has achieved increased stiffness at the bottom bracket and headset without compromising on the seat stays. In addition, a full hollow tube construction, a minimum of connection points and the absence of alloy components at the dropout and brake mount further contribute to the frame's remarkably low weight.
Geometry
The geometry of the Addict RC has been completely revised to meet the current requirements of a modern high-performance racing bike. Wider tires now fit easily without compromising agility. At the same time, the optimized handling ensures a consistently dynamic ride across all frame sizes. Fully integrated cable routing
The Addict RC features fully integrated cable routing for mechanical and electronic shifting. This was achieved by Scott's engineers without compromising on shifting and braking quality or the stiffness of the head tube. It is also surprisingly easy to change the cables and maintain the bike.
